BHP South Flank will be one of the world’s most significant Iron ore operations with autonomous-ready fleets and cutting edge digital connectivity. The South Flank deposit is 26 km long and two km wide.
Raw Hire has provided prime movers, 12-tonne tipper trucks, 2.5-tonne trucks, 9-tonne trucks, water carts, 12 seat commuters, 21 and 52 seat buses, service truck, Prados and Hiluxs since the project kicked off, and we currently still have this equipment on-site.
Raw Hire supports BHP South Flank as more equipment arrives on-site within the month to assist in delivering the project on time.
Raw Hire recently took a drive around the $150 million Mulla Mulla Village. The state-of-the-art mining camp in Mulla Mulla for BHP South Flank. Mulla Mulla Village is 120 kilometres from the closest town and 1,300 km from Perth.
It has approx 2500 rooms (each worker will have their own room with 25 sqm of space, their own bathroom, climate control and full internet connectivity). A swimming pool, big green lawns, inflatable outdoor cinema, squash court, a sports field as well as other features. Such as a virtual golf course at the mining camp, three-storey cafe, a 3000-book library, a cross-fit gym and a kitchen for cooking masterclasses. All part of the $US3.6 billion South Flank project.
